Hello and welcome to A Slice Of Soap!
So guys, have you been watching the drip-drip return of Rickaaaay! and Biancaaarrrgh this week? Talk about stringing it out! The EastEnders writers would’ve been great during World War II – they could’ve fed the entire country on the tiniest of portions. Of course what we’re really waiting for is that first meeting between the two exes. And the writers know it.
Bianca Jackson (played by Patsy Palmer) returns to the Square with four kids in tow; they’re the Jackson 5. The kids are: Whitney Dean who’s 15-years-old. She’s the daughter of a trucker named Nathan, who got together with Bianca in 2002. She’s Bianca’s stepdaughter and apparently, she’s a bit mouthy – just like her step mother then. She’s been with Bianca since her dad died in a lorry crash.
Tiffany Dean is five; she’s Bianca and Nathan’s child. Liam Butcher is nine. His dad is, obviously, Ricky. He feels like the man of the family because he’s the oldest boy. Morgan Jackson-King is three. He’s Bianca’s child with her current partner Tony, who’s now in jail. Morgan only eats chicken nuggets (watch out for a Jamie Oliver lecture slamming EastEnders over this very soon) – could this family be any more chav?
And talk about history repeating itself! Bianca Jackson has turned out just like mum Carol who arrived in Albert Square with a load of kids from different fathers too: Bianca (father David Wicks), Sonia (father Terry Cant), Robbie (father Gary Bolton) and little Billy-with-the-overlong-hair (father Alan Jackson). Don’t be surprised if little Morgan’s hair is down to his shoulders by next week…
In honour of the Jacksons ambushing Albert Square, the BBC has produced a spoof Jackson 5 video. Here it is (it’s only available in the UK so if you’re not part of the licence paying population, you won’t be able to view)

can this family be any more chav, you ask? my question is, can your MSN TV Blog page be any more prejudice against the lower class family? you guys get away with a lot on a day to day basis i noticed, you should watch what you say more often, because you are one of the main meduims on the internet.

Thank you for your comments Joe. If this was Gossip Girl and Bianca was talking about going to \’The \’Hamptons\’ for Spring Break, I\’d be saying: \’can she get any more Upper East Side?\’ But this isn\’t Gossip Girl, it\’s EastEnders and like it or not, the Square is a celebration of chav at times. Doesn\’t mean we don\’t like Bianca or that we have some kind of, in your words, "prejudice against lower class family". We love Bianca!

It looks like Eastenders have ran out of ideas for storylines and said oh lets bring someone back to the square…oh Dennis…no…he\’s dead again…how about oh yeah Bianca… Yer…give us some time to think of some storylines….
joe, the blog doesn\’t actually say anything to offend lower class families. Not every lower class family has 4 kids by differet fathers, or wear tracksuits all the same etc! What it says is that the family is a group of chavs which is true! But they are hilarious and it\’s great to see Bianca back! They are a great family, and I can\’t wait to see what happens to them on the show!

lets be honest we all love bianca even if shes a sponge off the state like a lot of londons mothers but to be fair eastenders is mainly fiction. if you have ever been to the east end of london its more like ramadams mecca you know the bingo hall the bbc will never make eastenders realistic as there viewing figures would plumet big time AND THEY KNOW IT eastenders is so easy to work out i only need to watch it once a month we all new franks bow tie was in the present just like we knew pat and peggy were gonna slap each other round the face if only i could bet on eastenders

Oh my, I love Eastenders (I AM SAD – but devoted), reading the below comments really cracks me up….Bianca, cool, bring her and Ricky back. I believe we have seen an end of an era with not seeing Pat or Dot or many of the other long-stay characters passing away on the set and I personally look forward to seeing what comes around the corner with the series…bring it on!!!!!!!

i just love pasty palmer as this character. Welcome back bianca may you liven up my evenings. bring on the children as well they look fun. it is very hard to be a single mum lets see pastys character go back to college and study fasion design like she wanted to do all those years ago. she does\’nt need any more kids so dont give her no more men.
To be honest i loved it, the square has not been the same without her !! she has to be one of my all time favourite characters. Whats the phrase ??? CHAVTASTIC !!

Eastenders is terrible! You occasionally get a good episode now and again, when a decent writer gets a good storyline. There have been the occasional good performances too. It\’s strange that two of the most limited actors – and I use the word actor in the loosest sense of the word – have made a come back. I guess that they\’ll be glad to be back on the Eastenders gravy train. Didn\’t Patsy Palmer think she was a gifted actress and too good for the soap? Isn\’t that why she left? I guess she\’s been taken down a peg or two.

If you could read, you would notice that she only has three kids by different fathers, the 4th in said Jackson 5 is her stepdaughter and she is the fifth!! i hope things work out for Bianca and her family, and she gets the break she needs to sort out her situation,
she could have a win on the lotery and start a business (night club or pub) just to rattle a few cages in the square, after all that is what she is been brough back into the show for.
oh and of course she should use rickky like she always has done but turn the tables and then we will see the firworks go off in albert square.

Havent watched eastenders for years cause it got really rubbish and depressing. loved these characters before so will start watching again and hope that they have some good scripts. like the spoof video and some of the other publicity hope it lives up to the hype tho

Bianca Jackson is Back!! At last, as She is a very popluar Actress with everyone…I mean there are so many people on the Square..it will be very good to see how Bianca copy with the Brannings (Aunt Tanya with kids Bradley, Lauren, Abi and Oscar. Uncle Jack and his Daughter Penny) I have hear that Bianca is gonna to ave a war with Stacey Branning…That will be good to watch. Bianca\’s first week in EastEnders has been soo good as to have Frank\’s funeral which brought back Diane, Ricky and Janine and the same time Bianca as well it been like going bk in time! but showing us what life like our of the square, i mean We all wonder what Martin, Sonia and Rebecca doing now, or what lil Mark Junior like, what Chrissie Watts doing in Jail? Is Sam Mitchell still on the Run? Or Has Ruby Allen has let the ghost of her Dad laid to rest n stop been a spolit lil brat?!

I have read suggestion that ITV\’s new producer of Coronation Street is planning to replace the oldermembers of the cast for younger ones. It is suggested that the older members are too expensive and they want to use cheapoer actors and actresses. Well, you know the adage, you will get what you pay for. Just look at the boring peoplke at present on the street. All are new , young players who are boring most people to death. I refer to the Kebab shop crew, the girl friend of Steve MacDonald with her two siblings. Dera, dear I wonder if ITV really are aware of the foly of allowing a new producer to run wild.
